So Tony Blair gets the Liberty Medal, a disguised brown envelope payoff and pat on the back for his complience with his real masters commands.

The Liberty Medal is an overt exercise in double speak. Blair was responsible for the Government that brought to pass the most anti-libertarian laws the British people have ever seen, as well as his famous national tour and campaign for the invasion of Iraq, lying through his teeth, looking people in the eye and telling them there was no doubt about WMD, no doubt about Hussain's ability to launch immediate and deadly attacks directly on our people. He told us there was no doubt about his collaboration with terrorist groups and the immediate and present danger he posed to the British people.

It is estimated over 1 Million Iraqi civilians are dead. That would be the equivalent of over 330 separate attacks at the scale of 911 - or 19,230 attacks the scale of the London 7/7 attacks, remember these Iraqis are innocent civilians too. Men, women and children just trying to go about their daily business. The number who have been injured, crippled or disfigured are many times this amount.

In comparison with other awards and earnings the Liberty medal is not a particularly large payout, although the ironic condescension in the name must grate against the ears of all free thinking people who still have a soul.

Blair has earned over £20 million since leaving office in 2007, how the paymasters reward their servants! It is a symptom of a sick society that lets this pass quietly and without question.

In the same week enquiries are being held into the deaths of 7 Iraqis who have been killed while in the custody of British armed mercenaries in Iraq. This has nothing to do with combat, these are the actions of the worst kind of tyranny the world has ever seen.

There is still hope that the dumb sleeping people of this country realise that mass murder and torture are the policy of their government abroad. That their techniques are worse than those of China and as bad as the USA, and that while this is now happening to their civilian counterparts in another country thousands of milles away, it is being paid for with their tax money, and if it is not stopped it will one day come home to roost.
