August is turning into a month of revelations about the corruption and immorality of senior UK police officials, specifically the Metropolitan Police Force.

Most people are well aware that the majority of officers are decent hard working people who join the force for the right reasons, however when faced with corruption, illegal behaviour and cover ups it isn't so easy for them to speak out about it.

There are cliques within the force maintained by a hierarchy of staff serving their own interests as this story illuminates:

It isn't the darkest secret an officer will have uncovered about a colleague, they would go to more effort to cover those up, but it serves to illustrate how corruption is the norm and how whistleblowers are treated by senior staff when they do what is right and speak out. This also shows what a conspiracy is, not a fictional made up theory, it is a group of people making secretive plans to do something which is wrong. Conspiracies are real, frequent and not confined to police forces!
